So, I figure Cess has grown up some, what with all her time with friends and out from under the shadow of the x-adults and x-school and all. that means much more confidence and way less insecurity about being a mutant and looking the way she does. It was probably really awkward between them at first especially with Laurie around? But she probably started off thinking if she couldn't have his heart she'd damn sure have his back, and they must have saved each other's skin a dozen times over by now, PLUS her feelings must've faded some time ago. So-- she's over it and they're practically adults (or pretending to be)? She probably nags him a little. And will always listen to him if he ever wants to talk about anything.
